Chairman of the Council of the Republic’s Standing Commission on Regional Policy and Local Self-Government Mikhail Rusy held a joint meeting of the working groups of the Council of the Republic and the Executive Office of the Federation Council to discuss the preparations for the 11th Forum of the Regions of Belarus and Russia, BELTA has learned.

"We have gathered as part of our working groups to ensure the best organization of the 11th Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia. This year it is held in a slightly modified format. It will be co-hosted by Vitebsk, Polotsk and Novopolotsk to involve as many objects and economic entities in this work as possible,” Mikhail Rusy said. “Therefore, the usual structure is changing, because we need to think about logistics and so on. I am sure everything is solvable.”

According to him, issues related to the arrival and accommodation of forum participants are under special control. “Everything is under control,” the senator said. “Decisions were taken on specialists responsible for each object.”

“There will be nine sections. We have determined their composition. Major themes have agreed upon,” Mikhail Rusy added.
