The Belarusian Union of Tourism Organizations has shared information on which Russian tourist destinations are most popular among Belarusian tourists, BelTA has learned.

According to tour operators specializing in Russian destinations, top choices include the Golden Ring of Russia tour, bus or rail trips to Moscow and St. Petersburg (often paired with Karelia), and visits to Smolensk with spa hotel accommodations. Belarusian travelers have also shown strong interest in flights to Dagestan, Lake Baikal, and Kamchatka.

The classic Golden Ring of Russia itinerary, which topped the popularity rankings, includes eight cities: Sergiyev Posad, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov Veliky, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Ivanovo, Suzdal, and Vladimir. The most common format is a bus tour, with departures not only from Minsk but also from regional and district centers. Belarusian travel agencies also offer rail-based options.

“The standard tour covers eight cities over seven days, but in Belarus, a shortened version lasting four to five days is more common. Travelers can expect scenic landscapes of central Russia, golden domes of cathedrals and monasteries, and a wealth of museums. Monuments of ancient Russian architecture from the Vladimir-Suzdal school are listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites,” the union noted.
