Russia-Belarus Tourism Congress underway in Minsk

The second edition of the Russia-Belarus Tourism Congress kicked off in Minsk on 17 April. It brought together more than 600 participants from Belarus and Russia, including representatives of two dozen Russian regions, BelTA has learned.

“Attending the event are not only tourism professionals, but also diplomats, MPs, and government officials. We will discuss how to promote the tourism industry, how to work better and more efficiently,” Chairman of the Board of the Belarusian Union of the Tourism Industry Filipp Guly said.
According to him, this edition of the congress is bigger and more substantial than the previous one. The program features a large number of meetings, many of them are dedicated to business tourism and regional tourism. “The participants of the congress are to discuss current issues of the tourism industry, exchange best practices, expertise and knowledge and take part in B2B negotiations and presentations. The congress is meant to help build new partnerships and put forward new initiatives in the field of tourism,” he added.
The Russia-Belarus Tourism Congress will be running until 20 April. It is co-arranged by the Russian Union of Travel Industry and the Belarusian Union of the Tourism Industry. The business program includes a lot of networking events. There will be professional sections, training sessions, as well as B2B events for Russian and Belarusian companies. The congress is co-located with the international tourism exhibition-fair Leisure 2024.
