"Our advanced scientific developments, which have been implemented in such industries as agriculture, biotechnology, mechanical engineering, microelectronics, healthcare, and energy, are recognized by the international community and have wide practical application,"Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus,Viktor Karankevich, told the participants of the republican meeting of the scientific community dedicated to the Day of Belarusian Science, BelTA has learned.

Viktor Karankevich noted that the Belarusian land has always been famous for talented scientists. "We were able to preserve the heritage, as well as significantly increase the scientific potential of our country. Thanks to President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, great attention is being paid to the development of Belarusian science. And we are proud of these achievements. Our advanced scientific developments, which have been implemented in such industries as agriculture, biotechnology, mechanical engineering, microelectronics, healthcare, and energy, are recognized by the international community and have wide practical application," said the Deputy Prime Minister.

He also congratulated the scientific community of the country on behalf of the Government of Belarus on the Day of Belarusian Science. "I would like to thank all those who have dedicated their lives to this important field of human activity for your professionalism, selfless work, and dedication. I would like to address special words of gratitude and recognition to veterans of the scientific field and honored scientists for your experience, knowledge and mentoring," said Viktor Karankevich.

He also presented awards - certificates of honor from the Council of Ministers and commendations from the Prime Minister.
