‘The Russian market is traditionally one of the key markets for Belavia,’ said head of marketing and foreign economic activity of Belavia Ekaterina Radishevskaya at a press conference dedicated to the III Belarusian-Russian Tourist Congress, reports a correspondent of Soyuz.by.

"In the summer season, we have flights scheduled to ten Russian airports, including three airports of the Moscow Aviation Hub - Domodedovo, Sheremetyevo and Vnukovo. In addition, there are two seasonal destinations - Murmansk and Makhachkala. Traditional destinations are also St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad, Kazan, Sochi and Yekaterinburg", - said the speaker.

According to her, all directions are popular in summer, there is a good busyness of flights. In winter there are fluctuations in demand. The specialist cited Murmansk and Makhachkala as an example, noting that these routes attract different categories of passengers. Belarusians mainly go to Makhachkala for holidays to the sea, while Russians fly from Murmansk for holidays in Belarus, including families with children. The most popular destination is Moscow. Then follow St. Petersburg, Kaliningrad and Sochi.

Ekaterina Radishevskaya also said that Belavia flies not only from Minsk.

"The flight programme from the regional cities of the country is actively expanding. There are regular flights to Moscow and St. Petersburg from Gomel and Brest. On the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia on 2 April a flight Brest - St. Petersburg was launched. In the near future, a new direction is planned - a regular flight from Mogilev to Moscow. The first plane will fly on 28 April," said the speaker.
