More than 21 thousand tourists went to Belovezhskaya Pushcha for a New Year's tale on the first weekend of 2026

Brest region welcomed the first weekend of 2026 with an influx of tourists who preferred winter holidays in the region. According to the regional executive committee, the national park Belovezhskaya Pushcha became the leader in attendance, which was visited by about 21.4 thousand people from January 1 to January 4. The guests enjoyed the snowy landscapes of the protected forest, watched the animals and visited the estate of the Belarusian Santa Claus. 

The second most popular location is the Brest Hero Fortress Memorial complex. During the holiday holidays, 190 excursions were conducted here for more than 8.1 thousand visitors. Tourists visited the territory of the citadel and museum exhibitions dedicated to the feat of the defenders.

The third place in the tourist rating of the region was taken by the animal park in Baranovichi, which has been visited by over 2.9 thousand adults and children since the beginning of the new year. As noted in the Brest Regional Executive Committee, these figures are just the beginning, and the region has many new events and discoveries ahead for the guests.
