More than 120,000 celebrate New Year at Russia Expo

The Kremlin chimes heralded the advent of 2024 11 times to match the number of time zones of our huge country, TASS has learned.

More than 120,000 people from all over the country gathered for New Year’s Eve festivities at the international exhibition and forum Russia Expo, the press service of the exhibition’s directorate has said.

"New Year's Eve events on December 31 at Russia Expo were attended by over 120,000. The Kremlin chimes heralded the advent of 2024 11 times to match the number of time zones of our huge country. The Russia Expo’s guests were from all 89 regions of Russia, including participants in the Special Military Operation and their families," the news release reads.

The international exhibition and forum EXPO Russia is being held from November 4, 2023 to April 12, 2024 at the VDNKh exhibition center in Moscow. Its mission is to demonstrate the most important achievements of the country in different sectors of the economy, with all 89 Russian regions presenting their selections. More than 3.5 million people have already visited the exhibition during the first two months. TASS is the forum’s general news agency.
