The Belarus-Russia tourism congress is scheduled to be held in Minsk in April. Such plans were announced at the joint press conference of the Russian Union of Travel Industry and the National Union of Tourism Industry at the Belarusian embassy's business and cultural complex in Moscow. The press conference reviewed preliminary results of the 2022 season and discussed cooperation prospects between the tourism industry of Russia and Belarus, BelTA learned from the diplomatic mission's press office.

“The participants noted that Russia and Belarus were popular travel destinations for mass tourism in 2022. It makes perfect sense to scale up cooperation due to convenient logistics, affordability of travel, language and the visa-free regime,” the press office said.

It was also emphasized that the ratification of the Belarus-Russia agreement on mutual recognition of visas will allow synchronizing operations in third country markets.

“These positive aspects might help remove barriers, streamline processes and scale-up positive results. It has been decided that the Russian Union of Travel Industry would hold the joint congress in Minsk in April 2023,” the press service added.
