Minsk among most popular destinations for St. Petersburg residents during New Year holidays

The Belarusian capital of Minsk was among the most popular destinations for residents of Russia’s St. Petersburg during the New Year holidays, BelTA learned from Pulkovo Airport.

The airport served a total of 632,000 passengers from 29 December to 8 January. The airline services on domestic routes were used by 534,000 people, those on international routes by 98,000 people. The busiest days were 29 December and 5 January.

“The most popular routes within Russia were Moscow, Kaliningrad, Sochi, Yekaterinburg and Kazan. Among the most popular foreign cities were Istanbul, Dubai, Minsk, Yerevan and Tashkent,” the airport said.
