Russian consumers trust the quality of Belarusian meat products, they love and buy them eagerly, Director of Russia’s Meat Processors’ Association Yekaterina Luchkina told reporters on the sidelines of the Belarusian Meat international forum, BelTA has learned.

“Meat consumption is growing in Russia. This pertains to both raw materials and finished products. The import of beef and poultry is on the rise. Russian consumers trust the quality of Belarusian meat products and actively buy them. My colleagues and I also purchase Belarusian products,” said Yekaterina Luchkina.

According to her, the market is growing and developing, new niches are emerging. “The market for ready-to-cook highly-processed products is thriving, so is the market for ready-to-eat food. Manufacturers, including Belarusian ones, need to make the most of this trend. Customers love buying and eating your products,” the director of the association remarked.

She also pointed to the increasing urbanization worldwide and high consumption of meat products by urban dwellers. “We expect the consumption to grow in 2024,” Yekaterina Luchkina said.
