Lukashenko sends birthday wishes to Laos president, invites him to Belarus

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent birthday greetings to President Thongloun Sisoulith of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, BelTA learned from the Belarusian leader’s press service.

In his message, Aleksandr Lukashenko remarked: “You are known as an outstanding statesman and party figure, a true patriot of your homeland, who devotes all his energy to the development of Laos, the strengthening of its role and authority in the region and the world, and to improving the lives of its citizens.”

The Belarusian president warmly recalled his meeting with Thongloun Sisoulith on the sidelines of the BRICS summit in Kazan last year. He also expressed his anticipation for the Laotian leader’s visit to hospitable Belarus, where they could discuss the practical implementation of existing agreements and identify new opportunities to unlock the full potential of Belarusian-Laotian relations.

Aleksandr Lukashenko concluded by wishing his counterpart good health, prosperity, and a long and happy life for the sake of further achievements benefitting the people of Laos.
