Energy Worker's Day in Belarus is celebrated annually on December 22. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated workers and veterans of the energy industry on this holiday, the press service of the Belarusian leader reports.

The Head of State noted that the Belarusian fuel and energy complex is one of the most important sectors of the national economy, which ensures the sustainable operation of domestic enterprises and the functioning of social facilities.
According to the President, modern, reliable, dynamic enterprises of the energy system create highly productive jobs and play an important role in the development of cities and regions.
— The launch of two power units of the Belarusian NPP has strengthened the republic's energy potential as never before. The decision to build the third power unit was a timely and important step towards the further development of Belarus and the strengthening of its sovereignty," Alexander Lukashenko said.
He stressed that all the achievements of the industry, unique experience and competencies are the result of the daily work of a large and friendly team.
"I am convinced that your professionalism, accumulated knowledge and skills, as well as long—term work traditions will be the key to effective solution of the tasks set," the President expressed confidence.
