Lukashenko awards scholarships to 70 PhD students

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed a resolution on awarding scholarships for 70 PhD students doing research in priority areas of science, technology and innovations. (BelTA)

The outcomes of the research of these PhD students are already used in manufacturing, medicine, agriculture, education; they were presented at national and international conferences and published in scientific journals.

The scholarship holders represent many fields of research, including technology, physics and mathematics, biology, chemistry, medicine, economics, agriculture, humanities and sports. They are doing their research in educational institutions, scientific organizations.

The presidential resolution on awarding scholarships is aimed at supporting young talented PhD students, encouraging gifted youth to take up science, promoting domestic science and improving the training of highly qualified scientists.
