Khodjaev: more than 160,000 foreign citizens will receive medical care in Belarus in 2024

"In 2024, more than 160 thousand foreign citizens received medical care in Belarus," the Minister of Health of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Khodzhaev told reporters at the opening ceremony of the 30th forum "Healthcare of Belarus-2025", the correspondent reports Soyuz.by.

According to the minister, more than 160 thousand foreign citizens who received medical care in Belarus in 2024 are representatives of 159 countries.

"This is a colossal figure in fact. We are developing from year to year, we are moving up steps. This means that by exhibiting our equipment, medicines, and other areas here, we are achieving every year what was planned in the previous year and finding new vectors for development in the following years. In other words, we are demonstrating progress," Alexander Khodjaev said. 

The Minister noted that in comparison with last year, the number of forum participants increased from 160 to almost 200, which indicates an increased interest in the site. 

"We are developing in various areas, starting from medicines and ending up with high-tech industries such as CT, X-ray equipment. That is, we strive to get higher and higher every year, to go up this ladder, " shared Alexander Khodzhaev. - The figures show that Belarus has high-quality medical care, which is known all over the world. We are not closed. Today we have partners from European countries represented here, as well as partners from Asian countries. We are grateful to the Russian Federation, we are grateful to China, we are grateful to Iran, Hungary, and Switzerland." 

Reference: From April 15 to 18, 2025, Minsk hosts the 30th Anniversary International Medical Forum "Healthcare of Belarus-2025", which includes an exhibition with more than 190 exhibitors from 8 countries and an extensive business program. The business program will include 22 conferences and seminars of scientific and practical centers and institutions of the Ministry of Health, as well as 15 seminars of medical companies.
