Karanik noted the growth of cooperation between the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and the real sector of the economy

"The National Academy of Sciences initially functions as a research and production corporation, so every year we see an increase in the number of customers from the real sector of the economy when we answer questions of concern to a particular manufacturer," said the Chairman of the NAS Presidium. In addition, the Academy has a division for the production of high-tech products, the volume of production and exports of which is steadily increasing.

It was also noted that the potential for interaction between science and practice is still far from being exhausted, but every year, as well as the completed five-year plan, demonstrate significant progress. The Academy participates in all government programs where government agencies act as customers.

"It is gratifying that the Academy of Sciences has its own state program, Science for Economics and Society. On the one hand, this is a unique opportunity to solve purely practical tasks, and on the other, to provide exploratory research aimed at finding new knowledge, to ensure the trial operation of the most promising developments, so that we come to manufacturers with ready-made solutions that have proven their effectiveness. As the head of one of our enterprises said yesterday at the Council on Strategic Projects, production halls are not a place for our experiments, we must come there with ready-made and effective solutions," said Vladimir Karanik.

During the event, he also presented diplomas from the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
