On 25 August Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko signed Decree No. 317 “On educational institutions”, the press service of the head of state told BelTA.

The document provides for the establishment of a specialized secondary educational institution “College of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus” through the reorganization of the existing Center for Personnel Training, Advanced Training and Retraining of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, located in the village of Gorani, Minsk District.

Leveraging the existing facilities and resources, the educational program will be launched with minimal financial investment.

The college will address staffing needs by preparing up to 100 qualified candidates annually for the most in-demand police specialties, drawing from a pool of citizens motivated to serve.
