Belarusian publishers to be featured at Moscow book fair

The 35th edition of Moscow International Book Fair, the largest and oldest book forum in Russia and Eastern Europe since 1977, will be running at Gostiny Dvor in the Russian capital from 2 to 5 September. The event will be attended by publishing houses of the Information Ministry of the Republic of Belarus, BelTA learned form the Belarusian ministry.

"In 2022, Moscow Book Fair, the main book event of the year, will be held at the Gostiny Dvor exhibition complex," the Information Ministry said. “Publishers, large and very small, will present their main book premieres of 2022 and also popular publications of fiction, educational, scientific and children's literature. The book fair will feature discussions, conferences, seminars, roundtables, autograph sessions and meet-and-greets with writers.”

Belarusian book publishers will take an active part in the forum. The publishing houses Narodnaya Asveta, Vysheisha Shkola, Belarusian Science, Belarus, Mastatskaya Litaratura, Zvyazda and also Belarusian book retailer Belkniga will showcase their best editions dedicated to the Year of Historical Memory, the anniversaries of the Belarusian classical writers Yakub Kolas and Yanka Kupala, and also the publications telling about the tourist potential of Belarus, the beauties of the Belarusian land and the Belarusian Written Language Day, which this year will be hosted by Dobrush, Gomel Oblast on 3-4 September.
