According to the aviation department, the increase in the two-way air traffic indicates the demand for regular flights to Russian cities.
“Thanks to the close comprehensive cooperation between Belarus and Russia within the Union State, air communication between the countries is actively developing. This comes both thanks to a positive trend in the opening of new routes between Minsk and Russian regions over the past few years, and the steadily growing passenger traffic,” the department said.
Today, the Belarusian national carrier Belavia and six Russian airlines conduct flights between Belarus and Russia on 18 routes.
