23 countries, 500 exhibitors, and the "International Quarter". What will visitors see at the 33rd Minsk International Book Fair?

From March 17 to 22, the 33rd Minsk International Book Fair will be held in Minsk. The event will take place at 14 Pobediteley Avenue. The grand opening is scheduled for March 17 at 12:00 PM on the stage of the central exhibitor.
Deputy Minister of Information Denis Yezersky shared the program details with journalists, reports Soyuz.by.

The exhibition's main theme will be the 35th anniversary of the Commonwealth of Independent States. This decision was supported at a meeting of the Interstate Council for Cooperation in Periodical Press, Book Publishing, Book Distribution, and Printing and is included in the plan of events dedicated to the CIS anniversary.
The exhibition will feature approximately 500 exhibitors from 23 countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Brazil, Venezuela, Vietnam, Iran, North Korea, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Cuba, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Palestine, Russia, Serbia, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan.

A separate exhibition space will be organized for each Commonwealth member state. The stands will feature photographs of landmarks, monuments, and other materials, as well as the most significant books. Country presentations will take place as scheduled: March 17 – Belarus; March 18 – Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan; March 19 – Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan; March 20 – Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan; March 21 – Russia; and March 22 – Armenia and Moldova. A presentation dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the CIS is also planned at the central stand.
A separate stand will be dedicated to the Year of the Belarusian Woman. The program for this space is being developed in collaboration with the Belarusian Union of Women.
With the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and diplomatic missions of foreign countries, an "International Quarter" will be organized at the exhibition, featuring a wide range of literature from neighboring and far-abroad countries. The opening of the quarter will take place on March 18 at 3:10 PM.

The Ministry of Education is organizing an educational quarter featuring authors of educational and non-fiction literature. Book presentations, master classes, and interactive and educational spaces are available for visitors.
The exhibition will feature regional collective stands, where publishers, printing houses, libraries, and regional branches of the Union of Writers of Belarus will showcase book publishing from all regions of the country.
The Ministry of Information, together with its subordinate publishing houses, has prepared a number of new books. These include "Fairy Tales of the Peoples of the CIS" from Mastatskaya Litaratura Publishing House, a collection of works by Yanka Kupala, Yakub Kolas, and Maxim Bogdanovich in the languages of the CIS countries from Belarus Publishing House, and the book "Together! Great Victory." A presentation of the book "Time Has Chosen" will also take place, featuring authors Olga Anufrieva, Dmitry Zhuk, and Maxim Osipov from "Zvyazda" Publishing House.
