Two chambers of Belarus’ parliament to hold joint session on 21 January

A joint session of the two chambers of the Belarusian parliament, at which the government will answer questions from members of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic, will be held on 21 January, the press service of the House of Representatives told BelTA.

Parliamentarians will be presented with a report titled “The social sphere of the Republic of Belarus in current conditions: Challenges and opportunities.” The heads of ministries and government agencies will also participate in the session to answer questions from lawmakers.


Prior to the session, an exhibition of paintings titled “Colors Speak” from the “Strong Spirit” project of the Belarusian and Russian peace foundations will be on display in the foyer of the Oval Hall of the Government House. As part of the project, children with special needs collaborate with renowned artists and prominent Belarusian figures to create paintings.
