On the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State on February 2, 2026 in Moscow

As reported by the Standing Committee of the Union State, a meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State will be held in Moscow on February 2, 2026, under the chairmanship of Mikhail Mishustin.

Participants at the upcoming meeting will discuss the Key Directions for Implementing the Provisions of the Treaty Establishing the Union State.

The results of trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation during the reporting period will be summarized.

Special topics include the issue of granting certain goods from Belarusian and Russian manufacturers the status of "Union State goods."

The creation and operation of a new supranational structure—the Union State Committee for Standardization and Quality—will also be discussed.

Meeting participants will discuss the establishment of direct rail passenger service between the border areas of Belarus and Russia, the Strategy for the Development of a Common Information Space in the Union State, and the implementation of the Union State Migration Policy Concept, which provides for the unification of information and other resources related to the stay of foreign citizens in the two countries.
