Minsk hosts Coordinating Council “Eurasia” meeting

The 42nd meeting of the Coordinating Council “Eurasia” was held in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications, BelTA has learned.

The meeting brought together air navigation enterprises from across the Eurasian region. Representatives of Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries took part in the international meeting.
The main focus was flight safety, with particular attention paid to the introduction of advanced technologies to ensure the efficiency of air transportation within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Deputy Director of the Aviation Department at the Ministry of Transport and Communications Aleksandr Apet highlighted the importance of strengthening interstate dialogue for the sustainable development of the aviation industry.
“Flight safety is a key priority for civil aviation in our country. As shown by a recent audit conducted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), the level of compliance of the Republic of Belarus with ICAO flight safety standards exceeds the European average,” he said.
