Lukashenko appoints new labor and social protection minister

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has appointed Andrei Lobovich as Labor and Social Protection Minister. Until now, this position was held by Natalya Pavlyuchenko, BelTA has learned.

Andrei Lobovich has been appointed to the ministerial position after serving as Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian State Control Committee.

Andrei Lobovich was born in Slonim, Grodno Oblast, in 1978.

In 2001 he graduated from Belarusian State Economic University, in 2015 – from the Academy of Public Administration under the Aegis of the President of the Republic of Belarus.

He began his career in 2001 as a leading economist in the budget inspectorate of the financial department of the administration of the Partizansky District of Minsk. In 2004-2008, he worked in the administration of Minsk’s Zavodskoy District in various positions. From 2008 to 2010, he was the head of the financial department of Minsk’s Frunzensky District administration.

In 2010-2012 he worked as the head of the local budgets department of the main department of budget policy of the Finance Ministry.

In 2012-2015, he served as First Deputy Head of the Administration of the Zavodskoy District of Minsk.

In 2015-2021 – First Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection.

From 18 June 2021, he worked as Deputy Chairman of the State Control Committee.
