Belarus, Russia discuss media cooperation

Irina Akulovich, Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia, held a working meeting with Maria Zakharova, Director of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on 19 January, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

“The parties discussed in detail current issues of Belarusian-Russian cooperation in the mediascape and exchanged views on the coverage of Belarusian topics in the Russian media. The parties also outlined the timeframe for the next round of ministerial consultations on information support for foreign policy and media relations,” the press service reported.


Irina Akulovich and Maria Zakharova also touched on the specific aspects of the reforming of Union State media and the development of the Union State Media Company.
