The exhibition "The Russian North Through the Eyes of Contemporaries" has opened at the V.K. Byalynitsky-Birulya Museum in Mogilev.

The artists who contributed to the exhibition include People's Artist of the Russian Federation and Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts P. Stronsky; People's Artists of the Russian Federation and Academicians of the Russian Academy of Arts A. Sukhovetsky and A. Stekolshchikov; Academician of the Russian Academy of Arts M. Finogenova; People's Artist of the Russian Federation V. Polotnov; Honored Artist of the Russian Federation and Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts E. Pavlovskaya; and members of the Union of Artists of Russia and the Moscow Union of Artists E. Brazhunenko, A. Bosko, Yu. Popkov, Yu. Zhukova, I. Raevich, V. Spiridonov, and L. Slavinskaya, the museum reported.

The exhibition continues the tradition of Russian classic painters of the mid-19th century, who embarked on expeditions to the shores of the White and Barents Seas in search of inspiration.

The paintings will tell the story of the nature, traditions, and customs of life and festivals of the peoples of Pomorye.

Visitors to the exhibition will be able to see the enchanting landscapes and architecture of the Russian North and experience the unique folk culture of the northern regions.
