During an inspection of the Armed Forces, ordered by the president, units of the 15th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade have assumed combat duty in a designated area, BelTA has learned.

“As part of the snap inspection of the Armed Forces, the 15th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade was issued a combat order.

In accordance with it, units from the immediate response forces were brought to the highest degree of combat readiness.

We received materiel supplies, loaded them, and departed for the designated area. Upon arrival, we immediately occupied a position and checked the weapons, military and special equipment, which has now assumed combat duty to defend the country's airspace.

We are working in coordination with the aviation and the radio-technical troops,” said the unit commander of the 15th Anti-Aircraft Missile Brigade.

The S-300 air defense systems have assumed combat duty. “This system has proven itself to be very reliable. The equipment is mobile, and its range is sufficient to protect the state border in the airspace,” the officer noted.

Next, the unit will practice a series of training exercises, including the destruction of aerial targets.

The officer pointed out that all the actions being carried out during the inspection are nothing new or unexpected for the unit. “For us, this is essentially just another training exercise and also an opportunity to test our strengths, knowledge, and skills,” he emphasized.

As BelTA reported, a large-scale inspection of the Armed Forces, as directed by the Belarusian president, began on 16 January. The primary goal of the inspection is to see an objective picture, assess the actual state of the troops, and evaluate the performance of military personnel. This is precisely why it is conducted on a surprise basis. A key feature of the inspection is its organization: the head of state places military units on combat alert, bypassing the Defense Ministry and the General Staff.
