Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has signed laws on ratifying six international agreements, which are aimed at expanding cooperation with countries of Africa, Asia, and Latin America, the press service of the head of state told BelTA.

Intergovernmental agreements on the abolition of visas for holders of diplomatic, official, and service passports with Zimbabwe, Uganda, and Guinea-Bissau have been ratified. In accordance with these agreements holders of such passports are exempt from the requirement to obtain visas for entry, exit, and transit through the territory of the host country. The implementation of these international agreements will simplify mutual travels for government officials.

Intergovernmental agreements with Colombia on the mutual abolition of visas for short-term stays and with Laos on the abolition of visas for holders of ordinary passports exempt citizens with valid national passports from the requirement to obtain visas for entry, transit and stay in the territory of these states.

Apart from that, a protocol has been ratified to amend the intergovernmental agreement with Türkiye on the mutual abolition of visas dated 29 March 2013. The document provides for waiving visa requirements for drivers and crew members of vehicles, who are citizens of Belarus and Türkiye and are engaged in international cargo and passenger transportation, during entry, departure, transit, and temporary stay in the territory of the states for 90 days in any 180-day period (up to 30 days, but no more than 90 days per year before the signing of the protocol).
