MP: Historical memory underlies relations between Belarus, Russia

According to Anatoly Bulavko, preserving the truth about the events of the Great Patriotic War influences the development of military and political cooperation within the Union State of Belarus and Russia amid the intensifying geopolitical confrontation in the world. “That sense of unity which characterized the Red Army, and later the Soviet Army, during the years of the Great Patriotic War has not only been preserved within the Union State but has reached a new level. These very factors contribute to our sincere economic and military-technical cooperation,” the deputy said.

“The historical memory underlying relations between Belarus and Russia, which neither we nor our Russian colleagues have betrayed or intend to betray, is a guarantee that we will continue to develop together in peaceful times. This foundation will serve as a guiding point that will allow our countries to develop and preserve their identity,” Anatoly Bulavko noted.
