Belarus’ vice premier comments on cooperation prospects with Russia’s Novosibirsk Oblast

Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich shared the results of the working visit of the Belarusian government delegation to Russia’s Novosibirsk Oblast in an interview to Belarus 1 TV Channel, BelTA has learned.

During the visit to Novosibirsk Oblast, the government delegation toured a number of industrial enterprises, which are of interest to economic entities of Belarus. According to Viktor Karankevich, the parties discussed oil refining and oil production issues. “There are certain areas for cooperation between Belneftekhim Concern and these enterprises. These can be additional areas of interaction. In addition, machine-tool building has become another relevant topic for the development of interaction. We also visited one of the enterprises, which produces spindles, which are as good as their world analogs,” the deputy prime minister said.

During the working visit representatives of the Russian region showed interest in the participation of Belarusian specialists in designing new stations of the Dzerzhinskaya metro line in Novosibirsk. “The first stage has already been implemented. The Belarusian organization is taking part in the work on designing these metro stations. Of course, we will be interested in the construction of these metro stations, taking into account the accumulated competencies and availability of opportunities,” he emphasized. This is also a new area of cooperation, which Viktor Karankevich assessed as a long-term prospect.

The Belarusian Machines multi-brand center was opened in the Russian region during the visit of the Belarusian government delegation. This year Belarus is set to launch supplies of quarry machinery to Novosibirsk Oblast.
