Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko will pay a working visit to St. Petersburg on 24-25 October, BelTA has learned.

“At the meeting of the Business Cooperation Council of Belarus and St. Petersburg, we will take stock of our cooperation, review progress to implement previous agreements, and explore cooperation prospects. We are interested in the further supply of equipment for the city's housing and utilities sector and the transport sector. We have projects in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, science, and education. St. Petersburg is one of Belarus' key partners among Russian regions; it ranks fourth in exports. We will go beyond the agenda of the Business Cooperation Council and use this platform to thrash out plans to scale up cooperation. We must bring specific projects, agreements, and solutions,” Roman Golovchenko emphasized.

The government delegation will leave for St. Petersburg on 24 October.

According to the government press service, during the visit Roman Golovchenko will meet with St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov and take part in a meeting of the Business Cooperation Council. Roman Golovchenko is also expected to visit St. Petersburg Tractor Plant, a fair of Belarusian goods in St. Petersburg and see a site with Belarusian equipment.

The delegation will lay flowers at the monument to the heroic defenders of Leningrad and visit the exhibition “History of the Defense and Siege of Leningrad”.
