At the meeting, regional executive committees, ministries, agencies and major enterprises reviewed in detail the actual indicators of Belarusian exports to Russia for January-February and the projected figures for the first quarter, broken down by sectors and regions. “The assigned forecast targets are being met, but certain sectors and product groups are showing negative trends,” the embassy noted. “Participants exchanged views on the causes and outlined specific measures to correct the situation.”
The meeting addressed the state of the markets for agricultural machinery, metal products, furniture, confectionery, the fulfillment of food-supply balance sheets, and cooperation with the Russian side on veterinary supervision. The discussion also covered efforts to avoid the creation of duplicate production facilities, as well as the organization of direct supplies to major Russian retail chains, including issues of logistics and the development of enterprises’ own distribution networks.
Special attention was given to the participation of Belarusian enterprises in the Russian state-supported programs and the fulfillment of relevant agreements at various levels, including the supply of public transport.

With officials responsible for cooperation with Smolensk Oblast, Bryansk Oblast and Vologda Oblast, the participants reviewed Belarusian export performance to these Russian regions and outlined steps to intensify cooperation in order to meet forecast targets.
“They also exchanged views on the possible impact on our exports of the upcoming launch in Russia of the national system for confirming product expectations. Together with the relevant agencies, it was agreed to continue proactive joint work on this issue with Russian colleagues,” the press service added.
