On October 2, 2026, a meeting of the Scientific and Expert Council under the Standing Committee of the Union State took place at the Great Stone Industrial Park. Lead by Union State Secretary of State Sergey Glazyev, the meeting focused on the specifics of trade, economic, and investment cooperation within the Union State. Assessing the realities of the Union's economic strategy, Deputy State Secretary of the Union State Ella Selitskaya noted that promoting the "Union State Product" brand is currently a key issue.

"The entire regulatory framework is now in place, and a registry of Union State products has been established; it is accessible to business entities from both our countries, and around fifteen items are already registered there," Ella Selitskaya reported. "These include Belarusian-made goods, such as MAZ buses and our BELAZ vehicles. We are currently working with Belarusian manufacturers to expand this registry and ensure citizens understand that high-quality products are being manufactured within the Union State," the speaker noted.
The Deputy State Secretary also highlighted ongoing efforts to protect the Union State market: a Committee on Standardization and Quality of the Union State has been established with the primary task of preventing substandard products from entering the Union market and supporting high-quality Union goods.
"We are working very actively to prepare proposals for supporting the production of such goods. Regulations regarding the subsidizing of these products are currently being drafted. In short, the comprehensive goal is to resolve this issue so that people are aware of these products, and our manufacturers can successfully export them—including to third countries—and compete effectively," the Deputy State Secretary of the Union State concluded.
