PM convenes meeting to discuss centralized healthcare information system in Belarus

The first item on the agenda is the development of a centralized healthcare information system. “The second item is even more important - digitalization of the industry. I would like to understand the architecture of the system we are building. What we have to come to, what results we aim for. We must create such a system that will be useful for healthcare and citizens. Experts who have experience in using such platforms should be widely involved in the development of the system,” Belarusian Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin said.

According to Healthcare Minister Aleksandr Khodzhayev, the centralized healthcare information system should be put into operation by the end of 2025. “The head of state has tasked us with developing an information platform during 2024 and 2025. This platform should meet the needs of both citizens of Belarus and the professional community. Today, the prime minister emphasized that the fulfillment of this instruction should bring practical results and carry out the goal. We will expand the expert group to include those professionals who already have experience in implementing a variety of medical platforms and maintaining their long-term operation. We must get together and once again assess what we need to do to fulfill the instruction by the head of state in a qualitative manner. At each stage of work we must make an audit, and this is what we will do as soon as possible. By 1 June, we will prepare background information with analysis and proposals to improve the work towards this goal,” the minister noted.
