Lukashenko condoles with Sultan of Oman over deputy prime ministry’s death

Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko has sent his condolences to Haitham bin Tariq Al Said in connection with the death of Said Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers of the Sultanate of Oman, the press service of the Belarusian leader told BelTA.

The head of state noted that the deputy prime minister’s many years of service were a key factor in the Sultanate of Oman’s current political and social and economic growth. “Said Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said made a significant contribution to strengthening state institutions, accelerating the modernization and steady progress of Oman, and to the development of constructive international cooperation, including with the Republic of Belarus,” the condolence message reads.
“I had an opportunity to personally meet with this outstanding statesman, who was rightfully held in deep respect both in his homeland and beyond. I will forever cherish the warmest memories of his wisdom, foresight, and sincere devotion to Oman,” Aleksandr Lukashenko emphasized.
The Belarusian president expressed his sympathy and support to the Sultan of Oman and to the entire people of the sultanate at this sorrowful time: “I am confident that the bright memory of His Highness and his service to the Fatherland will forever remain in the history of the country.”
