The solemn ceremony of laying flowers to the the Victory Monument took place in Minsk on February 23. The event is timed to coincide with the Day of Defenders of the Fatherland and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.

The ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Armed Forces of Belarus, headed by the Defense Minister, Lieutenant General Viktor Khrenin.
