Oleg Zhidkov, Chairman of the Belgospischeprom Concern, announced that the upcoming event will focus on the confectionery industry and will also touch on bakery. "Our platform, which we've been developing for five years, annually brings together key manufacturers not only from Belarus but also from abroad, including Russia. We discuss current trends, prospects, as well as the challenges and risks our businesses face. It's important to analyze our operations and understand whether we're on the right track and doing everything we can to offer consumers high-quality and competitive products," he noted.

As Oleg Zhidkov emphasized, the concern's companies are constantly evolving and regularly introduce new products to the market that are in demand. "The figures support this: the share of domestically produced goods in retail sales has grown from 60% to 63.5% over the past five years. Today, we are setting the goal for our manufacturers to increase this figure to 70% by 2030 as part of our five-year strategy. We plan to achieve this primarily by expanding our range of sugar confectionery products (their share is currently around 55%) and maintaining the high share of flour confectionery, which already exceeds 70%," the concern's head emphasized.

He also cited export results for 2025. "Last year, the country exported over $300 million worth of confectionery products. Russia remains the key sales market - it's the most predictable in terms of consumer preferences, and our established connections allow us to deliver goods quickly to customers. We're focusing on this area, but we're also not forgetting China, where we also see potential for sales growth, as well as the countries of Central Asia and Africa," explained Oleg Zhidkov.
