11:07, 14 July

Starting from 14 July air travelers holding the Belarusian passport will not have to present the negative PCR test result for COVID-19 upon arrival in Russia, reads the resolution of Head of the Federal Service for the Oversight of Consumer Protection and Welfare [Rospotrebnadzor] Anna Popova. The document was posted on Russia's official internet portal of legal information on 13 July, BelTA has learned.

The document introduced corresponding amendments to the Resolution of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation No. 7 dated 18 March 2020. Thus, air travelers holding the Belarusian passport will no longer have to take a PCR test for COVID-19 two days prior to their arrival in the Russian Federation.

The resolution comes into force on the next day after its official publication.

A reminder, on 4 July the emergency response center for preventing the import and spread of the coronavirus infection in Russia informed that Russia planned to cancel the COVID-19 testing requirement for air travelers holding the Belarusian passport.

“The emergency response center decided to allow Belarusian nationals traveling by air not to present the negative PCR test result for COVID-19 upon arrival in Russia. Corresponding amendments will be introduced to the Resolution of the Chief State Sanitary Doctor of the Russian Federation No. 7 dated 18 March 2020. Citizens of other countries will still need to present the COVID-19 negative test results,” the emergency response center informed.
