Belarusian tourism projects can showcase their potential compete for top honors in prestigious Russian competitions, BelTA learned from the National Union of Tourism Industry.

This season, representatives of Belarus’ tourism sector can compete for awards and present their projects to the Russian professional community. The competitions include the Russian Event Awards, Route of the Year, Tourist Souvenir, and RUPOR. The nearest upcoming competition is Route of the Year, with applications accepted until 2 November.

According to the National Union of Tourism Industry, participation offers more than just a chance to win an award. It also allows participants to compare their projects with initiatives from other regions, receive expert feedback, establish business contacts, and find partners for joint projects. For small towns, museums and local teams, these competitions offer an opportunity to draw attention to the tourism potential of their areas.

Participation is open not only to large companies. An interesting guided tour, a regional festival, a museum’s souvenir collection, or a successful marketing campaign can also be submitted.
